My verdict
The Takoyaki Tentacle from EroGeisha is a unique and intriguing toy, but it’s not for the faint of heart. The design, with its twisting tentacle and pronounced suckers, offers a sensation that's both fascinating and intense. The firmness of the silicone means you’ll feel every detail as it moves, which can be either a pro or a con depending on your preferences and preparation. When used with plenty of lube and a good warm-up, the Takoyaki Tentacle delivers a truly memorable experience, combining realistic textures with a twisting motion that’s unlike anything else I’ve tried.
For those who are looking for something that delivers a mix of fantasy and realism, this toy could be a great addition to your collection. If EroGeisha ever decides to release a version with a softer silicone, I think it could make this already interesting toy even more enjoyable, particularly for those of us who prefer a bit more give in our playthings. Overall, the Takoyaki Tentacle offers a unique, if intense, experience that stands out for its design and texture, but it requires careful handling to get the most out of it.
That all being said the EroGeisha’s Takoyaki - Tentacle scored 22/30 giving it a rating of 3.5/5, and I would recommend it for those seeking a very unique experience.
- Pros
- 1. Delivers a nice mix of fantasy and realism.
- 2. A nice, intense experience.
- Cons
- 1. Not for the faint of heart.
- 2. Silicone could be softer.
About the product
EroGeisha started with a simple yet important idea: fantasy toys should be fun and easy to use, not a challenge. Recognizing that many Western-designed toys are often too large for the Japanese market, EroGeisha focused on creating slender, more manageable designs. This approach ensures that their toys are perfect for solo play or with a partner, catering to both newcomers and those more experienced in the world of adult toys.
Experience
Insertion - 8/10
Inserting the Takoyaki Tentacle can be a bit of an adventure due to its unusual shape. I found that treating it like a corkscrew—twisting it as you go—works best. This method creates a really unique sensation, almost like the toy is alive, finding its way to all the right spots. The tip is super thin and slips in easily with just a little lube, but don’t be fooled; this toy needs some extra care before you get too enthusiastic. The midsection can be a bit of a challenge if you’re not ready for it, but more on that when we talk about the texture.
Comfort - 6/10
Comfort-wise, the Takoyaki Tentacle can be a bit tricky, especially if you’re not prepared for its firm material and distinct shape. The suckers are meant to provide extra stimulation, and they do, but if you’re not properly stretched or don’t use enough lube, they can feel a bit sharp and uncomfortable.
My first experience with this toy was a bit rough because I underestimated it. The tip went in easily, and the suckers felt great at first, but as the toy twisted deeper, those suckers started to scrape in a way that wasn’t exactly pleasant.
However, with the right prep—like stretching and lots of lube—the experience totally changes. When everything’s set up correctly, the toy feels much more realistic and provides a unique and pleasurable sensation. The twisting motion can be really fun, but it’s definitely something that might be a bit intense for some users.
Texture - 8/10
The texture of the Takoyaki Tentacle is pretty simple but very effective. The toy is smooth except for the sucker pad, which adds a lot of stimulation as it moves along. The suckers get bigger and more detailed as you go, making the texture even more noticeable.
With enough lube, this can feel really great. However, the firmness of the material can make those textures feel a bit too intense at times. I think this toy would be amazing if it were made with a slightly softer silicone. That way, the suckers would still provide plenty of stimulation, but they’d be less likely to cause discomfort. A softer material would also make the toy feel more lifelike, letting it compress and move more naturally, which would make the
Design
EroGeisha’s Takoyaki - Tentacle is available in a single size, measuring eight inches in total length, with seven inches of that being fully insertable. The toy has a smooth taper, starting with a slim two-inch circumference at the tip and gradually expanding to five and a half inches at its thickest point before tapering back down to four and a half inches at the base. Designed to resemble a coiled and stretched-out tentacle, it features detailed sucker pads along the curve, adding texture and intrigue, while the rest of the surface is smooth, making for a unique and satisfying experience.
Packaging
The EroGeisha Takoyaki arrived in a plain brown reused shipping box, keeping things discreet while also highlighting Erogeisha's commitment to eco-friendly practices.
Inside the box, I found not just two, but three toys (more on that surprise later), all neatly packaged together in a metallic-backed resealable plastic bag.
Materials and care
All EroGeisha toys are handcrafted using body-safe platinum-cured silicone, ensuring they are free from harmful chemicals, non-toxic, hypoallergenic, and irritant-free. Because EroGeisha toys are made from one hundred percent silicone, they are entirely waterproof. This ensures versatility, allowing you to enjoy them anywhere, from intimate encounters in the bedroom to indulgent moments in the hot tub.
Maintenance is hassle-free. For thorough cleaning, use a soft-bristled toothbrush with antibacterial soap and warm water. Alternatively, disinfect by boiling the toy for 2-3 minutes, ensuring it doesn't touch the bottom. Always remember to pat your silicone toys dry and utilize water-based lubricants exclusively.
EroGeisha seems to stick with a firm silicone for all their toys, at least from what I’ve tried so far. The Material on every toy I’ve used from them has the same solid, substantial feel, and I haven’t seen any mention of other firmness options on their website. The silicone doesn’t have much give, so you definitely feel the toy when you’re using it. But even with that firmness, there’s just enough flexibility for the toy to bend and move with your body when needed. It strikes a nice balance if you like a more controlled experience but still want the toy to work with you, not against you.
The Takoyaki Tentacle, for example, is mostly slim, except for its thickest twist, which gives it a bit more heft. This design adds a surprising amount of flexibility, making it easy to handle while still delivering that firm, satisfying sensation.
