The Iroha Koharu Beni is a sleekly designed, simple stick vibrator. It's longer than a bullet and has an oval head decorated with wide ribbing. Overall, the design of the toy feels dainty. Very feminine, very delicate. It’s thin and designed for internal and external pleasure. The bottom part, signified by darker pink, screws off, showing where the batteries go. The very bottom of that area spins, turning the toy on and increasing or decreasing the intensity. The silicone around the toy is smooth but very rigid, something I’ve found with Iroha toys across the board. The neck and head are flexible, but they don’t return fully to their natural shape. The colors of the box are baby pink and powder blue, continuing the delicate feeling of the toy. The Koharu Beni feels very tame as if it’s not trying to offend anyone by standing out.
This toy is extremely easy to use. The dial does take some getting used to; you have to use both hands to turn it. It supplies a nice batch of power, which might be its best feature. I just found myself so bored by it. The neck isn’t really flexible enough, and the ribbing on the head is too spaced out to make an impact. The vibrations are strong but boring. It doesn’t curve to hit your G-spot when inserted. Really it falls flat in a lot of ways. If I was just looking for average vibrations, this hit the nail on the head. It’s cute, but it’s boring.

This toy does feel high quality. The silicone is soft to the touch, well applied to the toy, and seamless. The matte finish feels clean, and Iroha applied a dust free coating over it, helping to keep it clean between uses. The toy is described as waterproof, and in the brief test I did it held up. I’m always worried about battery operated toys when I take them into the shower in case water seeps in. The owner's manual says not to submerge it deeper than 20 inches or 50 cm. Overall, it is a well crafted toy made with quality materials.

The Iroha Koharu sells for $24 on their website. For the range of power and quality of the product, this is a very fair price. However, I cannot recommend enough that customers thinking about this toy look around a little more. It is a fine toy, but I feel like you could easily find something with more targeted stimulation, more interesting features, that’s rechargeable, or a less forgettable design. If you’re going to spend money on a toy, treat yourself to something special, and in this price range, you have options.
The Koharu is reliable, and there is no doubt about it. It’s strong, can run for up to four hours with fresh batteries, and is easy to use. There just isn’t any “wow” factor to it. I think it’s a toy that’s made for someone who isn’t ready for an aggressive sex toy–something with girth, or suction, or that might be more intimidating. It feels safe, and it performs well.

The Koharu Beni's packaging is very sweet. It’s clean and simple, with soft pastels. Directions for use are clearly printed on the side and back of the box. However, since there’s a photo of the toy on the front, it's not very discreet.
The Iroha Koharu Beni is made with body safe plastic and smooth silicone. It’s waterproof up to 20 inches, and should be safe for shower play. Before cleaning, ensure the battery cap is secured. Clean with soap and mild water. Do not use alcohol or oil based cleaners. Also, use water based lubricants and avoid oil or silicone lubricants or creams.
