Most notably, the Cancer Mini Vibe takes its design cues from the Cancer zodiac. This means that most, if not all, of the design choices are made to represent the toy’s concept rather than its performance. Luckily, the Cancer Vibe has little leg appendages and two cartoonish eyes that adorn the Vibe’s body. Similar to rabbit ears on other external vibrators, the eyes and legs provide texture to play with. On the other hand, every zodiac is different - different shapes, textures, and designs. It makes me think that customers might want to think about what toy they want rather than going straight for their zodiac sign. However, the quality of the toys stays consistent. I was really happy to find that my Cancer Mini Vibe is waterproof, has strong vibrations, and is travel-sized. The packaging and branding for the toy really add to the overall experience of using it. They are also all made out of body-safe silicone.
I had low expectations for this toy because I’m not usually impressed by cutesy or kitschy designs. I always tend toward reliable, well-performing toys. Needless to say, I was happy with the Cancer Mini Vibe from beginning to end. The experience truly begins when you open the box. I have a soft spot for zodiacs and tarot and was immediately charmed by the thoughtful packaging and design. After charging the toy (it did not come with any initial charge), I tested out the vibration patterns and was again pleasantly surprised by the intensity and patterns. It definitely functions similarly to bullet vibrators or other simple, palm-sized external vibrators. What sets it apart is the zodiac design. This vibrator feels like something you’d treat yourself with just for fun. It sort of reminds me of those green clay facial masks, the ones that may or may not do anything special, but they’re fun to use because they make you feel pampered. That’s the energy this vibe has. It’s super simple, very take it or leave it, but I did feel cute and cuddly using it.
The materials of the Our Erotic Journey Cancer Mini Vibe feel fabulously high quality. The silicone completely coats the toy, feels soft and smooth, and makes the vibe completely waterproof. There’s one button, and it works without fail. The charging port is a small hole on the side underneath self-healing silicone.
I was surprised that this toy is $49.99 on the Our Erotic Journey website. That feels steep for how simple of a toy you’re getting. I’ve used bullet vibrators that function equally with comparable quality and materials and are half the price. This price is purely for the zodiac design.
This toy is solid and standard. It's an adorable toy, perfect for beginners who are looking for standard vibrations from an unintimidating clitoral vibrator. I would have been very happy if this was my first vibrator. And honestly, I will travel with this one purely because it’s cuter than my bullet vibrator and is roughly the same size. I’d advise users who are more experienced with toys and who have a better idea of the specific stimulation they’re looking for to continue shopping. Considering the reliable but average performance of the toy, I think experienced users would prefer something more stimulating.
The packing is by far the best part of this toy. It’s chic and feels a little bougie. And if you like zodiacs and tarot, you’ll love the card that’s included describing your sign’s sexuality. The toy comes with a zodiac card and a USB-compatible charging cord.
Because the toy is waterproof, it’s very simple to clean. Be careful when cleaning around the legs and eyes; it’s easy for debris to get stuck and build up. The battery life is equal to the charging time. Both are one hour.
