My verdict
The Era Swan Wand is my new go-to travel companion. I always take a vibrator with me on trips. I look for something compact with a travel lock that will keep me entertained on work trips or vacations. The Swan Era will do just that. This wand is small but mighty, providing shockingly intense vibrations. It’s comfortable to use and has a flexible next and smooth head that stimulates with ease. The toy has only one button to turn it on or off and change the mode. The motor glides upward in intensity as you hold the button down, though to decrease vibration strength, the device needs to be turned off and then back on. The Era Swan Wand comes with a soft, white storage bag that holds its charger and user manual. Ultimately, because of the power behind this motor, I think this is a great second toy—unless you’re specifically in the market for a powerhouse.
Pros
Small size and travel lock is perfect for taking trips
Fexible next allows for precision pressure
Vibrations are strong
Cons
You have to turn the toy off to decrease the intensity
Design

This is your classic wand, just a little smaller. Smooth, high quality silicone coats the product making it waterproof, soft, and supple. Its head rests on a flexible neck that allows for movement and precise pressure. The handle fits perfectly in your hand, with ribbed edges providing a little grip. The Swan Era Wand’s single button is simple to use, avoiding all confusion. Helpful charging lights come on whenever the toy is powered. Four lights indicate a full charge, when you’re down to 1 light, it’s time to plug the wand in. Charging is simple, the cord included is a USB. The lights will blink as they charge, solidifying into four lights when the battery is full.

Experience

Because of it’s size, I was expecting smaller vibrations. But Swan really delivers when it comes to power. I don’t need patterns or different modes, so the singular vibration and range of intensity did the trick for me. I like the ribbing on the handle and it’s size—it just felt good in my hand and on my body. The flexible neck really nice, allowing for a lot of circular movement with a nice combination of precision and unpredictability. Besides the power, it definitely felt like your average wand. The quality and ease were a nice surprise. Overall, I really enjoyed this toy.

Quality

The Swan Era Wand feels very high quality. The features are luxurious, leaving no questions about whether it’s charged or unlocked. High quality silicone is soft to the touch and strong. Overall, this feels like a very durable toy that will be by your side for a while.

Price

Selling for between $60 and $70, the Swan Era Wand is a moderately priced vibrating wand given its features. Anything over $60 for a toy is a bit of an investment, especially when something is travel sized. I feel like this is a reasonable but slightly high price for this wand.

Packaging

The Swan Era Wand comes in beautiful packaging that is easy to open and has clear instructions printed on the inside cover in large letters. The toy comes with a complete owner's manual, which is actually really helpful—unlocking the toy at first is tricky. There’s a bag included to store the wand when not using it.

Materials and care

Made from premium silicone, the Swan Era Wand is waterproof and easy to wash. Just rinse it off with warm water, scrub lightly with antibacterial soap, and let it dry. Pay attention to the groves in the handle and make sure water is catching there and trapping bacteria. This might mean scrubbing a little bit or taking a small q-tip to the area. Be sure to charge your wand when the battery is low to ensure a longer battery life.

  • Iroha Koharu Beni: Cute but Boring

The Iroha Koharu Beni is nothing special. It’s your average battery powered vibrator. There’s nothing about it that stands out to me as noteworthy. It’s decently powerful, which is always nice. The shape is interesting, I haven’t seen something exactly like it before. But that’s the problem, really. I’ve seen a lot of vibrators similar to this, some of which stood out for their design, comfort, or quality, but the Koharu Beni is just okay. It’s one saving grace is it’s flexible head, though it isn’t as elastic as a flexible head should be. It’ll get the job done, but when you’re looking for a vibrator, you want to get something indulgent and luxurious. You want freshly baked sourdough that crunches on the outside and is soft on the inside. You don’t want store brand white bread. This baby pink, battery-powered stick vibrator is the store brand white bread of vibrators.

  • Ava VIVVO Massage Wand: Impatient Need Not Apply

If I wanted to speak Morse Code, I’d buy a Ham radio, not a vibrator. Don’t get me wrong, this is a beautifully designed, high-quality vibrating wand. However, I have a very specific personal issue with this toy. The wand has 20 patterns, and while I appreciate that each pattern is nuanced and probably appeals to users who have been looking for that specific “dot dot dash” vibration, I could have done without 18 of them. For me, the first and eighteenth vibration patterns are the ones I want. And I’d love to be able to start with one, go to the other, and go back and forth until I’m tired. But I can’t do that with the Ava VIVVO Wand because I have to cycle through all the patterns to find the right one. And because they’re all so similar, I easily miss the one I’m looking for and have to cycle through all 20 again. This probably sounds so petty, but when you need that little shift in vibration, you don’t want to click through 17 that are just “meh.” I think this part of the design is bothersome enough to ruin the toy entirely.

  • Svakom Coco Vibrator: J’adore!

Up top: this toy is fantastic! Every toy I see from Svakom surprises me. It’s so easy to judge their books by the cover, but their unusual design choices make complete sense as soon as you use the toys. The Coco vibrator by Svakom is no different. It’s a mix of a wand and a large bullet vibrator but is designed for G-spot stimulation, creating this unexpected hybrid toy you can’t quite put your finger on. I've never seen a vibrator like this. Usually, when toy companies get creative, they miss the mark, but this one got it so right. The head is the same size as a typical large bullet vibrator, while the neck resembles a wand. It's shaped like a bent finger, with its flexible head angling outward. The Coco works wonders internally and externally. Plus, it’s actually quiet, not like other toys that promise discretion. Its power is surprising, considering how compact it is. Its five vibration modes are satisfying and effective. It may just be a personal pet peeve, though I’d find that hard to believe: a toy loses my interest when its vibration patterns miss the mark. This toy delivers across the board.

  • Iroha Zen Matcha: So Close, Yet So Far From Perfect

I want to love the Irohna Zen Matcha so much that it’s hard to come to a verdict. There is a lot to love. The top is super plush, soft silicone that molds to your body and conducts vibrations better than tightly wrapped silicone. Its ridges are a perfect added element of texture, spicing up your session. Plus, those ridges, the bulbous shape, and the color all reference a matcha wand–truly, it’s a toy after my own heart. It’s even my favorite color! The biggest thing it’s missing is one or two more notches of power. The Matcha has 3 intensity settings and one extra pattern, so it goes low, medium, high, then pattern. It toes the line, but it’s missing that knockout punch. It’s also a battery operated vibrator, which is not the end of the world, but rechargeable vibrators are really convenient. Ultimately, it’s a lovely toy. But it just doesn’t have the power you need.

The Bunny G Rabbit (AZURE Collection) - Beginner Vibrations

As a vibrator, it gets the job done. 12 different vibrations add spontaneity and appeal to a wider audience, BUT there were some settings that were just too much for me. Highly recommended for beginners who prefer stimulation over penetration. The penetrator itself wasn't quite built for my anatomy - a common problem with rabbit vibrators - and I ended up spending more time trying to figure out how to angle it instead of enjoying myself. However, the vibrating 'crab claw' was great! There were some settings that were a little too overstimulating, but that isn't something that can't be adjusted with an extra layer of fabric in between or applying less pressure. I liked that the handle was easy to hold for the stimulator, but as soon as I tried using the penetrator I found myself positioned rather awkwardly. Did not end up being able to comfortably use it in that regard.

Tawney finds the Fun Factory Sundaes a unique, powerful toy with a self-thrusting, rocking motion that provides deep, rumbly vibrations. Although it takes some getting used to, she enjoys its G-spot stimulation and versatility for both internal and external use. The toy's travel-friendly features, waterproof design, and strong motor make it an exciting addition to her collection.

We-Vibe Chorus: Good Vibes for Couples

Before I even start, I need to say that this is without a doubt THE best unboxing experience that I have ever come across with toys. Both my wife and I were blown away with that just for a start. It has little drawers in the box and to heck with a carrying bag...yeah...you get a whole carrying box that doubles as a charger! No dust and dirt is getting into this toy! The chorus is perfect for hands-free blended orgasms with penetrative sex. This toy works better for gentle lovemaking over going to pound town. Positions that involve grinding and riding work better as it pushes the clit vibrator up against her. As the man part of the deal, I can say that for me it feels good and is powerful. She loves it too and and it brings us closer. As it is hands free you can insert it under your underwear too and use the remote and/or app (both of which work very well) to get started and once she is warmed up, you can start taking things to the next level. On the topic of the remote (we prefer to use it over the app), the squeeze function is tops and is a genius way to give that extra boost without fiddling with buttons. Note that this is a partner toy and although you could use it with a dildo, I don't feel that that would be justified considering the price and how there are so many toys on the market that can be used for solo play. Fun Hint: You can use this for sneaky public play or while watching a movie.

Doc Johnson Velvet Touch Vibe Review

For 19 dollars, I thought this toy packed quite the punch! The Doc Johnson Velvet Touch Vibe probably has one of the most unique designs I've seen- instead of a remote or button, you simply twist the dial to your desired speed. This does make the toy require 2 hands to use, but I personally didn't have any issue with this. It's powered by 2 AA batteries (sold separately). At first, I was a little bit confused as to how it works; it doesn't seem to come with any kind of manual or instructions. But, once I got the batteries in correctly, I turned the dial and was surprised by how intense the "low" speed seemed! The volume of the toy was pretty consistent between all of the vibration speeds. It's not exactly as quiet as the Amazon listing says it is, but it's pretty quiet if you use it under a blanket. I'm usually someone that highly prefers manual stimulation over toys, but this vibe might have proved me wrong. It's made for both external and internal stimulation, which I thought was a nice detail! Many vibrators explicitly state that they aren't designed for insertion, so this was a pleasant surprise. It's bigger than the bullet vibrators I usually prefer, but it's actually pretty good for precise stimulation. The only downside to that is that since this toy is quite large, it's probably not very travel-friendly.

Oliver James Large Wand Massager: Holy Moly

I don’t usually get aroused immediately by a toy, but the Oliver James Large Wand Massager got me going right away. The large wand is large, nearly a foot long, making it oddly so comfortable to use. At first, I thought it looked a little gimmicky. It’s long, the handle is coated in shiny plastic, and it’s just so big it’s almost cartoonish. However, the neck is flexible, the silicone on the head is divine, and the vibrations are so strong I could feel them through my pants. The longer, curved handle on this model allows you to hold with your palm facing any direction, making the device super easy on your wrist - which is usually the first point of discomfort for me. I also found it super easy to use, from the buttons to the toy's ability to massage such a large area. I also used it to massage out shin splints and tight calves from running - something I’ve never considered doing - but it totally worked. This is truly a full-body massager.

The Lelo Soraya Wave delivers a unique and satisfying experience with its come-hither motion and dual motor design.
