- Easy to clean. No hard to clean nooks or crannies, just make sure to wash well behind the ears lol.
- The 7 rabbit functions are definitely the highlight of this toy! The ears are tantalizing ticklers!
- Hop on in, the water's fine! No actual rating given, but boasts that it's waterproof!
- Cons
- Not as many settings as one may have expected or kind of hoped for. No vibrating and few thrusts. :/
- Power button is quick press instead of hold making it easy to accidentally shut off while in use.
- Thrusting ribs feel a bit flimsy compared to other thrusting vibrators. Not great sounding either.
Like its thrusting feature, the CalExotics Jack Rabbit has its ups and downs. The ups, in my opinion, are the rabbit ears and waterproof features. I feel at ease when cleaning the device since I can run it under the faucet while scrubbing it down, and if I so choose I could take it into the bath/shower for an even wetter time ;P. The rabbit ears have been bragged about enough throughout this review that I need not boast them again.
The downs, in my opinion, are the lack of vibrating settings and the wonkiness of the ribbed thrusting motion. Though I understand the ribs are an esthetic feature to make the device look more phallic, and allow the thrusting motion to have a bit more "wiggle room" with the silicone, I find that it makes the device seem a bit flimsy at the tip. With no vibration settings and a disinterest in the thrusting feature I find I'm left with just a dildo, and I've come to realize I'm not a fan of plain dildos. If I'm going to use a toy instead of my fingers or finding the closest man that would be willing to stick a dick in me, I would want that toy to have more features than those two things are a capable of xD.
Unfortunately the CalExotics Jack Rabbit wasn't as hopped up and raring to go as I had sort of expected. The lack of vibrating settings makes the dildo part of it a bit lack luster, and having only 3 settings for thrust didn't help make up for it.
The best feature, hands down, is the rabbit ears! The way they tickle, flick and play with my clit makes my toes curl and the sheets scrunch and almost come off the corners. If I could have a u-shaped style toy with the rabbit ears on one end and a vibrator on the other I think I'd explode XD!
I find that I'd much rather play with my original rabbit vibrator mentioned below as it comes with more thrusting patterns, several vibrating settings and a heat function... I find I'm a sucker for a hot time ;P.
CalExotics' packaging is simple, sophisticated and informative, but is far from discrete ><'.
The packaging has the elegance of a cigar box with its big gold letters taking center stage; gold trim wrapping around the front panel; and a beautiful fan-like pattern that can only be seen in the right light wrapping around the entire package. Along one side of the box, a lovely bio from the CEO can be found, while the other side allows the fan-like patten to be the full center of attention. The simplicity and elegance end with the front and back depicting the product itself, both as a still shot and in motion, with a full array of feature descriptions taking up the back in a diagram fashion.
As a person who is still quite timid with the idea of purchasing/receiving items of a sexual nature I would currently steer clear of walking up to a counter confidently with this in my hands.... However!
Strip that sleeve off and you'll find I'm a huuuuge fan of the inner packaging. This sexy little number is dressed all in white with nothing but the subtle fan pattern all around the box; nothing but the gold logo across the front panels; a beautiful shade of purple on the inside with another simplistic but elegant line pattern; and a message on the left inside panel that makes me feel oddly at peace but rather excited.
Now, I don't know how many of my reviews you've read or not read up until this point, but I can tell you right now... I'd walk up to the counter with no qualms if it was just the inner packaging. I might even have a snobby nose in the air attitude about it and I'd definitely be rocking a fur coat lol.
Inside the package: The product itself, a charging cable, an instruction manual, and a more basic instruction/charging card.
I'm a bit disappointed that it didn't come with some sort of pouch like most of the other products I've encountered. I also feel the plastic baggy for the charging cable was a bit unnecessary.
Smart move in a company aspect that they went a bit generic with the instructions and additional card as it allows a single print to be run and shared with a variety of their products that share similar features. In fact, the small sheet includes the serial numbers and charging/run times for several different devices. From a customer standpoint it seems a bit generic, confusing and lacks the elegance and invitation that the rest of the packaging evokes. It's weird to say I almost miss the colorful advertising for other products that other companies have included in their manuals lol. Technically their colorful instructions are the back panel of the sleeve.
The CalExotics Jack Rabbit has 3 thrusting speeds and 7 rabbit functions which is a bit disappointing given its size, price, and looks. I would've thought it might have come with a set of vibrating sensations or a few more thrusting styles.
Though I'm a sucker for consistent patterns/settings, the 3 thrusting speeds are not all that thrilling to me, especially in the ribbed tip style as it almost seems a bit flimsy. I prefer the thrusting action on the G Spot Rabbit Vibrator, mentioned below, as the construction of it seems sturdier, it's less obnoxious sounding, there's more settings/patterns, the shape is a bit more preferable and I think the thrusting action feels better in combination with vibrating settings.
The 7 rabbit functions make me want to shake my leg like Thumper with a persistent flea lol. I usually prefer a consistent vibration setting when using the toys I've encountered thus far, but I found that I actually cycled through these ones and found them quite enjoyable. Compared to the button on the G Spot Rabbit Vibrator, I think I like the flickering ears more as it's just a whole different sensation.
The CalExotics Jack Rabbit has a wonderful feature called the Travel Lock! This features allows the product to shake, rattle, and roll about your luggage, drawer, or where ever it may be without accidentally turning on and wasting the pleasure on nothing! The only other time I've experienced this feature was with the Swan Era Wand and Swan Sceptre.
To activate this feature simply press and hold the power button for 3 seconds until the LEDs blink twice. To deactivate, simply repeat the process! :)
I wish the power button was a hold feature to turn the device on and off and the travel lock was a two button setup, as I found that during use it's easy to accidentally bump the power button and have to start all over.
CalExotics Jack Rabbit vs. Sonzua G Spot Rabbit Vibrator
The Sonzua G Spot Rabbit Vibrator was technically my first "big girl" adult toy that I sorta got for myself; it was an unexpected encounter among several freelance product testing gigs I picked up when I was first starting to do odd and end jobs from home. Never would have guessed at the time that I would end up here or that it would end up being a great comparison for CalExotics Jack Rabbit. I guess it could be considered my gateway vibrator xD.
