- Price3/5
- Noise3/5
- Duration of use45 minutes
- Charging time150 minutes
- Pros
- Will remember the last settings you had it on so you can keep going next time you pick it up!
- The Travel Setting helps avoid accidentally turning it on in your bag, your drawer or where ever!
- Use time on lowest settings lasts as long as it takes to charge, 150 minutes. Pretty damn long!
- No official IPX rating provided, but claims it's waterproof. Easy to clean and fun to use!
- Cons
- Button layout can be confusing on first use, unless of course you read the instructions lol.
- No carrying pouch included with the item. Keeps the item clean, hidden, and is easier to travel with
Normally not a big fan of yellow, but much like the Utimi Lavender, I feel color theory and picture association come into play here quite a bit. By pairing the bright color with the theme of the beach, they are associating the color with the bright beach sun and the glow of the sand which somehow seems to work at making the color appeasing and acceptable. Yet again, I find myself enjoying something that's normally not my first choice because they associated it with something that I do. There's a potential that if it was paired with anything else, I might've said I'm glad I can at least be seen at night like I'm wearing a safety vest or highlighter called, it's missing a vat of yellow. It could be paired with McDonald's golden arches and it'd be a toss up of whether or not I'd say I'm loving it lol. But because it was paired with a beach I find I actually like it... go figure lol.
Regarding other features:
The clitoral stimulator was definitely a strange design concept to me at first, one might say it threw me for a loop xD, and even more strange was the name "encaser." Wasn't entirely sure if it meant I stuck my clit through the loop like threading a needle or what, but it was definitely another new one I've been exposed to since starting this journey. Never would have guessed how many styles of clitoral stimulator attachments there are.
As far as the shaft is concerned, I find that I'm glad it's not a forced phallic shape like the Jack Rabbit and that they avoided the janky thrusting feature with this one. Since I'm usually a vibes kind of girl anyway, I'm more than alright with the fact that it came with only 3 intensities of vibrations for it. My only comment is it could've started off a smidge more intense.
The travel lock feature is a very nice touch, I enjoy when things can't be easily set off at unfortunate times or that the battery can't be accidentally wasted if it's bumped on while stored somewhere and goes unnoticed.
I almost wish the buttons were labelled, it's a poke and hope at first to figure out which button does what.
- Top button: used to apply travel lock by holding for a few seconds until all device lights turn off; remove travel lock by holding for a few seconds until all device lights come on; use as an off switch when the shaft and/or clitoral encaser are turned on. Has nothing to do with turning either feature on.
- Middle button: press once to power on, press to continuously cycle through the 3 settings, and hold for several seconds to power off
- Bottom button: press once to power on, press to continuously cycle through the 10 settings, and hold for several second to power off.
Overall I think the design is pretty nice, I like the gold trim as it feels elegant, the overall simplicity of the shaft shape, the unique clitoral encaser shape and name, and weirdly the fact that they successfully manipulated me into liking a color that's on the bottom of my list lol.
The CalExotics Venice Vixen was definitely a more delightful overall experience than the CalExotics Jack Rabbit. The shape of the shaft was more filling, comfortable, and pleasing. I have the horrible bad habit of testing toys with the charge they came with, I feel it not only gives me a good idea of whether or not I can still get off as it gets closer to charge time, but also gives me something to look forward to when it's fully charged. With the provided charge I found I needed to be on 2 or 3 to really get things going and get them done. The encaser was still a confusing one to me, but for the most part I treated it like the ears of the Jack Rabbit and let it do its thing. Again I found I enjoyed the 3rd intensity the most and one or two of the patterns at the time. Definitely a CalExotics toy I'd consider going back to.

Unlike the last few toys I received from CalExotics, this one did NOT come in a privacy pouch, instead it came in a see through plastic bag, so don't expect any privacy when opening your package this time!
The package itself features a clear plastic front, showcasing the product itself against a beachy background. Written on the plastic cover is the company name in the top right, followed by the product name and some product features in the bottom right. There's also a cute "California Dreaming" written across the bottom border of the box, almost making you want to hum a Katy Perry single lol. The back of the box is the usual song and dance CalExotics does, a picture of the product and a few diagram style lines with features pointing to various parts of it and a mixture of different languages sharing the same information below. One side is the usual company bio and pic of the CEO and the other is a reverse image of the beachy background featured on the front.
I am a sucker for beaches, it's a big part of the aesthetic I keep around me in the form of knick knacks, art, crafts I make, and backgrounds I pick. It's just so relaxing to stick your toes in the sand and forget about your worries. So what could possibly be more appropriate to pair with a device that's also meant to make you feel relaxed and wash away your worries for a moment than a beach?!

Inside the package: the product itself, a charger, an instruction manual, and a more succinct instruction manual.
I find it odd that the charger and succinct instruction manual were in a baggy together and at all, I feel it was a bit unnecessary, especially since the other manual was left to free float. I like the efficiency of their manuals in some sense, from a manufacturing point of view I can see that it saves paper and makes packaging easier as it can simply be thrown in any box without a care. But from a customer point of view it can be a little confusing to have to go through the part numbers to figure out which is yours and learn the information about it.
CalExotics French Kiss was another toy they claimed had a travel lock feature, but in that case it simply wasn't true. The power button just simply needed held down to de/activate the device at any point.
CalExotics Venice Vixen is a bit different.
- To apply travel lock: Hold the top button for a few seconds until all device lights turn off
- To remove travel lock: Hold the top button for a few seconds until all device lights come on
- When travel lock is off: Use the top button as an off switch when the shaft and/or clitoral encaser are turned on.
- Middle button: press once to power on, press to continuously cycle through the 3 settings, and hold for several seconds to power off.
- Bottom button: press once to power on, press to continuously cycle through the 10 settings, and hold for several seconds to power off.
