My verdict
This adorable almost Hershey Kiss shaped device will have you melting! Talk about a toy with an honor roll.... no need for D's, C's or long wait times by the charger, it's AAAs for days! The Ume-Anzu's small stature and inconspicuous design allows it to hide in a make-up bag, purse, or even a pocket with ease or be left out in the open without a care in the world. Iroha was oh so kind enough to include a AAA battery in the product so it can be used the moment it's opened, talk about an awesome company that cares! They even made the device waterproof, allowing that bath time vibe to be even more relaxing! It's a single setting consistent vibration with an intensity that may surprise you, and with its durable design there's no need to fear it being finnicky when you're in the middle of your groove. The estimated time of use is 5 hours on a single battery so this little buddy can go as long or as many times as you can handle! This discreet, simple to use, easy to hide, long lasting toy is definitely a great one for first time users and is a good one to just have for a quick fun time!
Pros
Inconspicuous design allows it to go unnoticed by make-up bag meddlers or privacy poaching peepers!
Runs on a rechargeable AAA battery: long lasting, easy to change, and no waiting to charge!
No actual IPX rating, but claims to be submersible! Gotta love the bath time buddies ;P
Single setting is quite strong, product feels quite durable, and it's super easy to turn on/off.
Cons
I feel there was potential to have more settings in this design, similar to the CalExotics Bullet.

Design

I really like the design of this product, it's very pleasing to just look at and is oddly very easy to fidget with lol. As far as the material goes, I've never heard of Elastomer until I read the back of the package, I have to say it's quite nice to touch and easy to rub against the skin. The battery compartment and overall circuitry inside of the device are very well done; the use of space is exquisite; it's ergonomically beautiful; and the way it opens/closes feels sturdy, thought through and well sealed. I genuinely have no real fear of submerging this device in water. I love that it's battery operated, discrete and so compact... I feel it'll definitely be one I'd have with me almost anywhere I travel. This device and Romp's Lipstick are going to make me start carrying a make-up bag lol.

Experience

For a small device that runs on a AAA battery this thing packs a decent punch. Though it only has a single vibration, its small but wide point and that consistent intensity hit the spot just right, making it a must add to the travel bag kind of item!

My first encounter with a battery operated toy was the Blush Lipstick and though these devices have a very similar intensity I feel the Iroha Mini Ume-Anzu is just superior. At this point the only thing the Blush Lipstick has going for it in my book anymore is the appearance and penetration ability. The Ume-Anzu has a way better circuitry design allowing for a more enjoyable and consistent experience, whereas the Lipstick may clonk out if bumped a smidge or may not turn on at all because it just feels like being a finnicky nuisance lol. It may not be penetration friendly but the Ume-Anzu is an excellent clitoral stimulator that is not only capable of getting the job done on its own but is great for turning up the heat in foreplay before moving up to a different toy or with a partner.

I thoroughly enjoyed the feel of the material against my skin as I played around, it was able to glide so smoothly to every spot I wanted. At one point I found I was able to go hands free while trying it out, though there are toys that are better designed for such a thing, the fact that it could be done with this one was just an added bonus to the experience! The intensity of the device is almost Goldilocks for me at this point... not too weak (like the first setting of the CalExotics Bullet) but not too intense (like the initial suction of the INYA Rose), it's about where I'd start any other vibrator with consistent vibration settings.

Packaging

Iroha has a simplistic, clean and adorably small package!

At first glance nothing about this package screams that it contains a sexual product; if anything it looks like it could be a make-up product. The overall package is a clear plastic box with a wrap around white and gold label that shares very basic information.

This is a product I would definitely feel comfortable walking up to a counter with! It's inconspicuous, simple and I could easily pretend it's something it's not. I almost get the same vibes as I did with Dyso's packaging... like I'm purchasing a fancy product from Five Below that I'm not 100% about what it does but I'm excited to find out lol. By no means are my Five Below comparisons meant to be insulting to the companies or their products, I'm just a thrifty shopper and a bit of a child lol.

What's in the Box?!

Inside the package: The product itself, a AAA battery (already in the device) and an instruction manual.

Iroha kept their contents as simple as their packaging which is awesome. I LOVE the fact that this company was kind enough to supply a battery with the product as it allows it to potentially be used right away! CalExotics and Blush were not as considerate with their Bullet and Lipstick products, requiring the customer to make sure they have a battery on hand when they initially go to try it out.

Iroha Mini Ume-Anzu vs Blush Lipstick

Material - Iroha Mini Ume-Anzu wins, the whole thing is soft and nice to touch!

  1. Iroha Mini Ume-Anzu - Elastomer and ABS
  2. Blush Lipstick - A satin like lipstick tip and ABS casing

Waterproof Settings - Iroha Mini Ume-Anzu wins, the design is more convincing that it's waterproof!

  1. Iroha Mini Ume-Anzu - No official rating listed but can be used under water!
  2. Blush Lipstick - No official rating listed, claims it's waterproof but design doesn't look or feel like it would be.

Run Time - Iroha Mini Ume-Anzu wins!

  1. Iroha Mini Ume-Anzu - Up to 5 hours
  2. Blush Lipstick - Doesn't specify, but the finicky nature of the device blocks consistent long lengths of use time anyway.

Charging Time - Tie!

  1. Iroha Mini Ume-Anzu - No charge time! Just have at least two rechargeable batteries on hand or a whole pack of regular and enjoy!
  2. Blush Lipstick - No charge time! Just have at least two rechargeable batteries on hand or a whole pack of regular and enjoy!

Size - Tie!

  1. Iroha Mini Ume-Anzu - Perfect travel companion due to its small stature, easy to store and hide. Could be passed off as a lip gloss, blush or lotion.
  2. Blush Lipstick - Perfect travel companion due to its small stature, easy to store and hide especially because it looks exactly like a lipstick.

Vibration Settings - Tie!

  1. Iroha Mini Ume-Anzu - 1 overall setting, but decently intense.
  2. Blush Lipstick - 1 overall setting, but decently intense.

Penetration Ability - Blush Lipstick wins!

  1. Iroha Mini Ume-Anzu - Definitely more of an external stimulator. The shape is not the most penetration friendly style.
  2. Blush Lipstick - The lipstick end allows for 1 inch of penetration, but honestly the whole thing could be inserted if truly desired.

Ease of Use Regarding Vibration Settings - Iroha Mini Ume-Anzu wins!

  1. Iroha Mini Ume-Anzu - 1 vibration setting. Single button operation makes this device super simple to use. It's located on the side and is very reliable.
  2. Blush Lipstick - 1 vibration setting. Opens like a normal lipstick and turns on when fully extended. Is quite finnicky and is oddly a pain to turn on sometimes.

Ease of Use General Sense - Iroha Mini Ume-Anzu wins!

  1. Iroha Mini Ume-Anzu - Ergonomically friendly, decently sized but small rounded tip for nice accuracy and surface coverage, not insertion friendly, easy to operate, easy battery change, and durable design.
  2. Blush Lipstick - Ergonomically friendly, small lipstick tip makes it easy to pinpoint that exact spot, insertion friendly, conceptually easy to operate but inconsistent with when the circuit is closed and operational, battery cover is a bit of a pain, and does not feel all that durable.

Overall winner by Personal Preference: Iroha Mini Ume-Anzu due to the overall sturdy design that doesn't clonk out from a small nudge.

I'm genuinely amazed I'm here! Though I can come off very flirty and sometimes talk a big game, when it comes to certain sexual aspects I am actually quite shy, slightly uncomfortable, lacking in confidence and can sometimes be downright prudish lol. My sex life always consisted of my favorite fingers or an actual man. (Shocking I know!) Toys were something I felt would disrupt intimacy or ruin my ability to orgasm without one. Let's face it, a man can't vibrate like a motor can or always keep up with the Energizer Bunny lol. It was actually a recent relationship with vastly different libidos that resulted in the strangest gift of my 1st ever toy: an egg w/ an app and settings created by other users. At first it felt like cheating... Over time, it became a boost to my independence/self-confidence and I realized I needed to learn to love myself in new ways. This is a definitely surprising step in my journey of self exploration, but one that I hope can oddly help others in theirs too!

  • Venice Vixen Review: Baby Why Don't We Go Down to KoKomo ♪

Gotta get the usual puns/jokes and comments out of the way... Ready to get down and dirty in the sand?! Talk about fun in the sun! Sex on the beach anyone? Okay, got that out of my system... CalExotics Venice Vixen is my favorite "all in one" toy by CalExotics thus far as it's internally and externally stimulating at the same time. Compared to the Jack Rabbit it feels better built and high quality, with a different and personally more preferred shaft shape. The best thing about the Jack Rabbit was the ears, which in all honest I prefer to have over the encaser the Venice Vixen has to offer as they are just... more invigorating. Incase you're wondering and want an easy summation of features, the CalExotics Venice Vixen has 10 clitoral encaser modes, 3 shaft intensities, a use time of 45 min on high and 150 on low, a charge time of 150 mins, and though no IPX rating is officially provided it claims it's waterproof.

  • Adam & Eve Intimate Curves Wand Review: Not an Ollivanders' Wand but Still Pretty Magical

Seemingly out of wand puns somehow, so disappointing! ><' The Adam & Eve Intimate Curves Rechargeable Wand is an excellent personal massager, vibrator and clitoral stimulator. It has a 3 hour use time on low, a 1.3 hour use time on high, is submersible in water, is dual ended and has 10 settings, 3 vibrations and 7 patterns, which start out at a decent intensity. Excellent for a first time wand user, no need to be a witch or wizard to use it lol.

  • CalExotics French Kiss Review: Voulez-vous coucher avec moi, ce soir? ♪

This lip-locking sensual sucker is the best kisser in town! To semi quote Diageo from Silicon Valley... "This toy fuuucks!" *mind blown emoji lol* CalExotics French Kiss is hands down my favorite CalExotics toy thus far! My favorite part of the CalExotics' Jack Rabbit was the ticklishly tantalizing ears, and that's now been combined with the sucking sensation I've "come" to enjoy from toys like the Satisfyer Mission Control and Romp Lipstick... Merci for the toy I never knew I was missing out on lol. This beautiful toy has the poise of the INYA Rose but is bit better in several ways. It has 12 totally fuckable functions, two interchangeable heads, a travel lock setting, a memory chip and can be submersed in water... Can you say... "Ooo la la!" xD

    We-Vibe Jive Review: Just… Meh

The We-Vibe Jibe isn’t a bad toy by any means, but it works best as an accompaniment rather than the main course. At an RRP of $130, it’s also quite a pricey option, even if it does offer rumblier vibes than the competition. If you don’t know how you feel about internal vibrations, that’s a lot to spend on a punt to find out.

Waking up early to Ride N’ Grind by inmi

Grinding in my opinion is one of the most fun ways to explore pleasure. For those looking to enhance their experience, this new product is a must-try. It stimulates the clitoris, vagina, and anus simultaneously with two strong motors that create deep, rumbly vibrations. You can sit on it to enjoy the sensation, turning any flat surface into a pleasure machine. Its shape fits your body well, with added ridges for extra stimulation. It's also versatile for different positions and fun to use while watching TV. The only thing is that I see it as potentially longer depending on your body type (keep it mind it’s about 6.6 inches long)

Finger on the Pulse with Trojan

The Trojan Finger Tip Vibrator is a lightweight, one button toy that’s made from soft silicone, so it feels good against the skin—but don’t expect it to blow your britches off. The material itself is hygienic (easy to clean) and body-safe, and the ribbed design offers a nice tactile sensation when you touch it. However, getting that smooth, glide-worthy play experience does require a bit more effort, so you’ll definitely want to use a generous amount of lube. Now, let’s talk about the finger loop. This is where things get a little tricky. The loop can be a bit fidgety, and if your fingers aren’t the perfect fit, the toy can wobble during use. For smaller hands (like mine), it’s a little more awkward to keep it in place, which can be a bit frustrating when you’re trying to stay in the moment. A more adjustable loop or better grip would’ve made this design a lot more user-friendly. The single-speed vibration is another area where this toy falls short. It’s definitely more of a gentle hum than the intense buzz that’s advertised. If you’re looking for something to really pack a punch, this won’t do the trick. It’s more about teasing and warming up, so it’s a great option for light, easy play (plus side its quiet). Another thing to keep in mind is the battery situation. While it’s convenient to pop in button cells, they can add up over time, which is something to think about if you plan on using this regularly.

    Svakom Coco Vibrator: J’adore!

Up top: this toy is fantastic! Every toy I see from Svakom surprises me. It’s so easy to judge their books by the cover, but their unusual design choices make complete sense as soon as you use the toys. The Coco vibrator by Svakom is no different. It’s a mix of a wand and a large bullet vibrator but is designed for G-spot stimulation, creating this unexpected hybrid toy you can’t quite put your finger on. I've never seen a vibrator like this. Usually, when toy companies get creative, they miss the mark, but this one got it so right. The head is the same size as a typical large bullet vibrator, while the neck resembles a wand. It's shaped like a bent finger, with its flexible head angling outward. The Coco works wonders internally and externally. Plus, it’s actually quiet, not like other toys that promise discretion. Its power is surprising, considering how compact it is. Its five vibration modes are satisfying and effective. It may just be a personal pet peeve, though I’d find that hard to believe: a toy loses my interest when its vibration patterns miss the mark. This toy delivers across the board.

Confusing Magic: the Ava VIVV Massage Wand

The VIVV Massage Wand by Ava is an adorable, humbly sized vibrating wand with a flexible neck for precision pressure and pleasure. The high-quality, soft, silicone ribbed head adds an unexpected dimension to vibrations. However, the diagonal ribbing on the handle makes finding the buttons difficult and can turn an attempt to adjust intensity or vibration pattern into a lost orgasm. Slightly making up for the confusing texture, the Ava VIVV features 20 vibration patterns and 8 intensities. I say ‘slightly’ because at least 10 of the 20 vibration patterns are redundant. Their slight differences offer the nuance needed for precise pleasure, and taking a few extra minutes to cycle through and find the right one isn’t the worst way to spend your time. The only other hitch in this device is that it resumes whatever intensity and pattern you used before when you turn it on. Sometimes, this is great. Other times, it’s nice to reset and start out easy.
